How do I know that Fall is here? I know because my old friend, the bald eagle, has returned to his favorite tree near my camp. While he sits silently watching for fish and other tasty critters, I think about another good summer gone by, and another winter on the way.

It’s been a very busy season for the MLRA. Along with our traditional agenda, we’ve supported the Youth Conservation Corps, purchased the patrol boat to continue the Lake Watch Program, and worked on ways to improve milfoil inspection. This winter we will also be working on a membership project. Although the Association currently has over 400 members, there are still more than 300 property owners in the lake area who may not know about the MLRA. A mailing is being planned to reach these people with membership information.

It’s also been very encouraging to see new members come to us through our web site. We hope all our members take a moment to visit mousamlake.org. In the meantime, enjoy the fall and have a happy Thanksgiving!
