President's Corner
Hello Everyone,
It’s been almost two years since I became President of our Lake Association, which I am enjoying very much. In that time, it has become clear to me that our strength lies in the numbers of our members. As a group working together with the Board of Directors, we have all made Mousam Lake a great place to be.
Many times I have received input from our members either by mail, telephone, or in person that has influenced decisions made at the monthly MLRA Board meetings. This is the reason that I hope to have more time set aside at the Annual Meeting this year for your participation in the form of questions and comments.
We have accomplished much in the last five or more years for a small lake association. Some of the other Maine and New Hampshire lake associations have even begun looking to us as a good example to follow. The MLRA has earned this reputation because our membership pulls together to get things done.
Of course, there is always room for improvement! There are still many residents on the lake who have not yet joined the Association, and we would certainly be happy to have them. So if you have a friend, neighbor or acquaintance who is not yet an MLRA member, please encourage them to join us. I have plenty of application forms and can easily get them to interested folks.
