Membership
There are no new members to report as of this printing. Total membership remains at 450 plus. A membership drive is being planned for May.
Membership dues statements have been mailed and dues should be paid no later than June 30, 2003.

If you have any new neighbors, please tell them about the MLRA and have them
contact Helen Valliere for membership information. Thank you!

Winter Inspections
Yearly inspections have been completed. One break-in on 23rd Street was reported and two other camp garages suffered damage from fallen trees. The severity of this winter’s weather made inspections more difficult and contributed to the damage noted.

Please note that one of your two Annual Membership Stickers must be VISIBLE from the STREET SIDE of your camp. If it is not, your camp could be overlooked during inspection.

The other sticker should be placed on the Lake side of your camp. Both should be easily seen from either direction. If you have any questions regarding the camp inspections, please contact Larry Valliere.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors met on Saturday, March 15th, at the Corr’s home, and again on Saturday, April 12th, at the Rose camp.

The next meeting will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, location still to be determined.

Plant A Shrub Day
Sunday, June 29th

As you know, Mousam Lake has a very heavily developed shoreline. It also has very porous, sandy soil. Because of this, we must all be aware of the importance of buffering the shoreline to help keep pollutants out of the lake. On Sunday, June 29th, help out by planting a shrub along your waterfront to conserve our lake environment. Thanks for your support!

Light Up The Lake
Thursday, July 3rd

As a prelude to the festivities of the 4th, place a flare or flashlight on your shoreline at dusk and light up Mousam Lake! Note: Please don’t leave any open flames unattended. Adults should always be present with children.

Boat Parade
Saturday, July 5th - - Rain Date: Sunday, July 6th

Use your imagination or decorate your boats in true patriotic style and meet at 1:00 p.m. down by the bridge to Lower Mousam. Winners will be chosen from big and small boat categories.

Remember — prizes for the Boat Parade Winners were doubled last year.

First place boats receive $100, second place $70, and third place $50. So come on out and join us!

Note: We will need five judges for the Boat Parade as well as judges for the fishing derby. Please contact Paula Rose if you would like to participate.
