Spring is now a legitimate reality. It’s not just a date on the calendar, but is being celebrated with all sorts of rites and rituals.

The trees have begun to bud, the birds are singing loudly in the morning, the ice is out of the lake…..and at 8:40 a.m. on April 13th, Board member Norman Baker spotted his first loon of the year on the lake!

We’re also happy to report that the last of the camp inspections have been completed and there were no break-ins this season.

The Association also learned this winter that it owns the beach property at the foot of the lake in its entirety and the State only has an existing easement for road maintenance purposes. (It had been thought previously that the State owned the majority of the beach property and the Association a much lesser portion.) We will be sure to keep you informed of any changes this might mean for the future.

In the meantime, I’m sure the springtime ritual of opening up your camp and getting your dock back into the water will be on your agenda soon. Hope to see everyone out enjoying the lake,
