Online Boat Renewal Service is up and running!

The new service is finally available. The website is www.maine.gov/online/sporting . To complete the online transaction, these are the items you will need:

- Registrant information Boat information, including registration number (ME----)

- Credit/debit card (MasterCard, Visa & Discover)

- A printer, if you wish to print a copy of the temporary registration.

Again, this service is only available for Boat Renewals.

This information will be available via the Town of Shapleigh's website as well a www.shapleigh.net.

501(c)3 Tax Exempt Status Accepted by IRS

The Board of Directors of the Mousam Lake Region Association are pleased to announce that the Association has been granted 501(c)3 tax exempt status as a charitable organization by the Internal Revenue Service. All contributions to the Association are tax-deductible as charitable contributions. Please consider adding the M.L.R.A. to your charitable donation list for 2008. Anyone wishing to make a 2008 tax-deductible contribution to the Association can do so by forwarding a check or money order made out to the Association and mailed to P.O. Box 333, Springvale, ME 04083.

Volunteers for the Mousam Lake Plant Patrollers

We are always looking for people interested in patrolling Mousam Lake via canoe or kayak, to routinely check vegetation along the shoreline. The purpose is to quickly identify any invasive aquatic plant that may have found its way into our lake. If found quickly, eradication is much more likely.

The goal is to find interested people from various locations around the lake to do late summer/early fall checks on our lake vegetation. You pick the date, time and location you wish to patrol. Any and all interested parties are welcome.

Come and join the party for a fun time.
